<P> Irene's eyes are still closed but she is awake. She hasn't opened them yet because there is so much more to still enjoy with her other senses. The smell of the Pacific is just light enough to give her that constant reminder that she is there. The sound of water rushing past the ship is so soothing and steady that it is like a lullaby and is the last thing she remembers before she fell asleep last night. The rocking on the waves keeps Irene in a relaxed peaceful state like a mother does to her infant in a carriage. After a few minutes of enjoying this bliss, Irene opens her eyes slowly and stretches her arms above her head. She thinks to herself, "You haven't slept this good in years it feels. Just you and the ocean. No kids, no publisher's and no press. Yes, you definitely needed this vacation."
