THE STORY
======================================
Somewhere out in the suburbs, an cubicle full of nonsense sits unnoticed, unmolested. Rich has taken the day off.

At a different office, somewhere else, Peter Kent is embroiled in a over-caffeinated, lightning-paced, perfectly normal day at work.

Rich and Peter have been partners in crime since college, where "crime" is inconceivably prolonged drunken jack-assery, and college is "a charged vortex of pure crime."

Years later, Rich took his job doing (I'm not sure what), because he dislikes not having money.

But for Peter, writing software to make robots smarter is something he deeply and truly loves, on days where the stress doesn't inspire daydreams of bridges and falling bodies.

So far, today is looking pretty bridgy.

It's good, then, that Rich has arranged for "the house." A sort of permanent party headquarters to be used, all summer, by the two of them, their boozy crew of half-wit friends, and anyone else who follows the trail of noise to their doorstep.

And of course, the ladies. If they're good looking. Which, in this case, they are.

So for Rich to forget to pay the rent, any rent at all, in fact, seems very sad.

No rent = no party palace, and Peter and Rich get to spend the next thirteen weekends asking about wood-paneled motel rooms that were booked 8 months ago.

A call is placed, wheels are set in motion. An 11th hour check will be written, and the world will be saved. So is it possible to have a good time, the kind of good time to which Rich and Peter are accustomed, without any preparation at all?

The answer, as it turns out, is no.

We will still need beer. Definitely.

Right?

And maybe some other stuff.

A call is placed, wheels are set in motion.

With no money, no patience, and a lunch hour long since spent, can Peter secure the supplies necessary to fend off the fearsome hurricane of boredom which threatens this warm, warm weekend?
