Due to the missile attack in British Columbia, President Mead has quickly departed from the White House to attend emergency meetings in Vancouver. Several high-ranking government officials as well as the top branch of NORAD are attending the meetings as well. While we may be lucky that the doctrine of mutually assured destruction did not take due to the incident being caused by one non-nuclear missile in a largely uninhabited area, the absolute surprise of this attack has caught us off-guard and additional precautions must be taken.

As for the security of the White House: the special units in charge of the Sub-Basement Excavacation Project have requested that they're allowed to conduct their operations in peace. Secret Service agents stationed in the North and South Lawns are ordered to patrol the area at regular intervals. Extensive additions to the current security protocols are already being worked on and we'll inform you of any further developments as soon as possible.

All personnel are ordered to full alert status. Any and all suspicious activity is to be treated with utmost caution, while ARMED RESPONSE is sanctioned for unauthorized activity. Personnel without specific responsibilities should consider themselves LOCKED DOWN until further notice.
