Thomas DeCelia was arrested yesterday after publishing his "Llama Falsehoods" phamplet and similar documents in print and on the undernet. According to police, the publications violate the 2002 Religious Tolerance and Slander Prevention Act (RTSPA).

His arrest has created outrage from many religious communities and people throughout the nation. "This man should be permitted to write what he believes. This is not hate or intolerance at all" said the reverend Max Cohen of the Church of Akatosh of PlanetElderScrolls FC. Pete Stanson of the Goat program "2700" attacked the arrest, claiming that the right to spread "Goatish truths" had just been smashed.

The ruling is not the first regarding the distribution of religious information. The key case that this law was built on was the highly contested 2000 Caughley vs. PlanetDeusEx case ruling regarding the illegality of unrequested door-to-door solicitation of religious materials. Another crucual case was the 2001 McMatthew vs. PlanetDeusEx where the librarian McMatthews refused to remove the anti-semitic book "The Protocols of the Elders of Zion" from his public library.
