<COMMENT>DXO's revolutionary mag</COMMENT>

"If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude than the animated contest of freedom - go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen."

So spoke Samuel Adams, the great American revolutionary, as he encouraged his fellow citizens to look beyond their own desire for 'stability' and to rise up against the unjust government that oppressed them. Looking out over Forum City, we here at DXO repeat Mr. Adams' challege to each and every one of those reading this article.

The PDX dictators who lord over us would have you believe that without their omnipresent control over our lives, everything we hold dear would disintegrate. They say it's "for your own good" that moderators are no longer elected, that a handful of individuals with no obligations to the rest of us can ban our loved ones from the forums without due process, or that our very words can be edited without our consent. Don't believe their lies for a moment!

When we log off, we are all men and women. So why is it that when we log on to Forum City, these high-minded deceivers make themselves into Gods? Only cats and dogs are happiest when they have masters who run their lives. But men are not animals, and true men and women can never be happy without having a say in their own destinies.

And so we repeat the words of Mr. Adams: rise up and join us in making a better world for you and your friends, or wear your chains lightly as you lick the hands that feed you.
