Using the PM system

Being on IRC without actually using a computer - the method is often called "passive" IRC - is clearly something that'll impress the ladies tremendously. It can also be extremely confusing, but you're good at multitasking, right? When you connect your PM system to an IRC server and channel, everything said in that channel is displayed in the message area at the top of your screen. You use console commands to interact with the IRC as well. Here's a list of supported commands; do not include the paranthesis':

irc (nick) (optional server) (optional channel) - this command joins the specified server and channel with the specified nick name. If you don't specify a server and/or a channel, the default will be chosen.

ircsay (message) - this command sends the specified message to the IRC channel.

ircquit - this somewhat self-explanatory command closes the connection, logging you off IRC.

You'll note this list is significantly shorter. The drawback of passive IRC is that commands such as /nick, /join, or /me do not work when you're using the console. The obvious benefit is that you will never again have to accept boredom as a part of your daily life! Now you may idle in some channel on starchat.net while riding the bus to work. Think of the possibilities.
