<COMMENT>Notepad in the apartment next to the ATC</COMMENT>

Dear diary,

Right, they finally got me installed in this apartment building next to the ATC. I'm at a total loss to explain how the institution that hired me works. Obviously it's part of the government administration, seeing as it's government funded and makes no profits at all. It makes sense that a building where we control all the air traffic in the city should be run by the government too, yet it seems the PDX have nothing to do with how we do our jobs. It's kinda strange, apparently we operate entirely independently and all PDX do is pay for it.

But it's not my business to figure out how the operation is run, I just have to watch the equipment and make sure nobody flies into buildings or tries to land jet planes on freeways. Oh, and before I forget, I gotta remember that the passcode to the break room is 59263. At first I wondered why the Hell they put a passcode on a breakroom door, but it turns out the security staff keep their weapons in there.

That's another weird thing, you'd think since we're a government building, we'd be using firewall guards, but for some reason PDX has hired a company called Cerulean Security International to handle the security of the tower. That's good for the rest of us though, real people are by far preferable to hanging out with those inhuman firewalls. And I guess CSI must be a very professional company, they sure take their tactical coverage planning seriously. I suppose they're afraid of terrorist attacks, seeing as the control of this tower would give you control over every helipad and air strip in and around the city.

Oh, gotta get ready for my night shift. I hate working in the dark, it makes me paranoid, but I just gotta tell myself that there are no ninjas or assassins sneaking up behind me to stab me in the back, and that it does pay very well.
